I've tried everything and none of it looks good. On my son's car (not a Porsche) we took them off, prepped, primed and repainted with plastics type paint to match and then cleared them with an additive to give them a Satin/Semigloss finish.

Replace, that's why they're plastic parts.

Take a heat gun and carefully apply heat to the scratches. Obviously be careful not to burn, but done correctly it will erase small scratches and nicks.

I have wet sandpapered with finest grit paper you can find going finer as you finish.....good info on the web........I used it on my front spoiler with great results for both fine and deeper scratches......

What kind of sandpaper do I need for wet Sandering?
  • The type of sandpaper you need for wet sanding is called silicon carbide -- or wet/dry -- sandpaper. It's usually black or gray. Immerse the paper in water for 10 minutes, then sand in a circular motion. Keep the sanding pattern irregular to avoid producing deep scratches that might remain visible.
