Porsche 991.1 GT3 Gets Safety Upgrades with BBi Autosport Bar and Recaro Seats from GMP Performance



BBi Autosport is proud to share that our premier dealer, GMP Performance, recently installed a BBi Autosport StreetCup Roll Bar into their client's Silver Porsche 991.1 GT3. Not only did they install the roll bar, but they also added Recaro Profi Racing Seats and Red Schroth Racing harnesses, making for a complete upgrade in safety and aesthetics.

The BBi Autosport StreetCup Roll Bar is designed specifically for the 991 GT3 and is made from high-quality TIG-welded steel. It provides additional support and protection for the driver and passengers in a rollover. The Recaro Profi Racing Seats and Red Schroth Racing harnesses add to the safety of the vehicle as well. The seats are made from a lightweight and strong material, offering excellent support and comfort for the driver and passengers. The Red Schroth Racing harnesses provide an additional level of security, holding the driver and passengers in place during high-speed driving or in the event of an accident.

In addition to the safety benefits, these upgrades also add to the aesthetics of the Silver Porsche 991.1 GT3. BBi Porsche 991 GT3/ GT3RS / Cayman GT4 Sub-Strap Mount



This bracket is required to install 6-point race harnesses when equipped with optional Sport Bucket seats. This bracket bolts directly to the seat and keeps the harnesses at the proper 10-20° angle regardless of the seat position.

BBi Harness Install Kit



BBi Harness Install Kit included extended bolts to adequately accommodate the OEM seat belts and racing harnesses at the factory mounting locations on the 991 GT3 / 981 GT4 Sport Bucket Seats. This kit features metal sleeves fitted around the bolts so the belt brackets can pivot freely on the bolt. They are sold as a kit per seat.

Unfortunately there's no simple solution to clear the codes on the 991 and newer cars. You would have to rip out the occupancy sensors from the oem seat and retrofit into the race bucket seats.
