I'd love to get a 991.2 GT3RS (in Chalk, of course). I have an allocation for a 992 GT3RS, but I'm hesitating. I love to drive these cars and no frunk (plus no Chalk, even PTS) is an issue.

I am lucky enough to own the same car picture by the OP. I have a 2019 GT3RS in chalk with PCCB’s nonWP.

ragerard - I wish I could get my hands on an allocation for a 2023. I am sure you get offers all the time, but if you don’t want the 2023 and really want a matching 991.2 GT3RS for your collection, let me know.

None of that takes away from 1.2-3rs and I know I'm on the 991 GT sub-forum. And it's probably unfair because I've already owned a 1.2-3rs. But 4rs seems like a wild animal which is becoming more and more rare over time and especially from Porsche. Porsche usually err's on side of well-mannered; that thing is a hooligan!
Same experience and thoughts, and I have a gt4 now I just got (in manual tho) and I can picture pretty well what the gt4rs would be like having had that engine and trans in the 991.2 RS and now a 718 gt4...

No doubt the gt3rs looks better imo. But I think the gt4rs would be hands down more fun to drive and I value fun over vanity so I too would pick gt4rs

I assume 3rs is as good/better on performance. I'd take 3rs on looks. Pure fun, I'd take a risk on 4rs. I just got done with a long drive in CGT. I could care less what that car looks like or how fast I go in it. I could beat my lap times in a cgt with a base 992 911 or 718s. But fun factor is what I'm into these days and while I wouldn't put a 4rs over CGT for pure fun I'd take a flier that it is more of a riot than a fairly buttoned down 1.2-3rs. I will admit that is pure conjecture as I've only owned 1.2-3rs. I've never even driven a 4rs. But as said before, the description of a slightly over-engined mid engine screaming track monster in 4rs: sign me up

Neither!

Go 991.2 gt3 MANUAL

You get the same engine and get to be engaged in the driving experience. Pdk is great but too much of a "video game" experience.

in the coming years, manual GT cars with great specs will be the most coveted. And get a fun Color!

3RS - All day , every day. There's a reason why it's The Daddy in pretty much every iteration .

I'm pretty sure I saw your 4RS on IG so this is all a moot point..but congrats !

While the 4RS probably handles better, it still just looks like a hatchback. ..

In my experience in driving one at the 'Ring last year for a couple of days, in particular (trying v.hard) following a GT3RS MR the rear of the 4RS did not cope with the bumps etc of the track as well as the 3RS did. watching the back of the 3RSMR cruise over the bumps going down Fuchsrohre at 130+ while jumping around was no fun at all.

That said, the 922 is rather clinical—almost sterile. Maybe posterity will prefer the 991.2 3RS over it.

They're both amazing, nonetheless.
This.

Really hard to compare this one...MR is a full suspension adjustment and setup. Do the same changes/suspension upgrades you'll find a similar result Id wager re handling bumps.
