Keep after it! I'm sure it'll pop sooner or later.

Hopefully before 2025 😂. This spring I'll be doing an oil analysis to see if there’s any signs of Metal shavings

Sooooo Motor F02901 went kaboom before 20k miles.
Even Porsche dealers’ database won’t tell you if there’s been an engine replacement. When I was buying an oil filter my dealer parts desk looked up my ‘15 GT3 VIN and history and spec’d a filter for the OEM F-series engine. I said no, it’s a G6 replacement engine so please give me a filter for a 4.0/RS. They looked at me like I was speaking greek.. they’d never heard of this nor did their systems inform or alert them.

Anyways congrats on your surprise G6!… that’s gonna be peace of mind + value for the long term.

Rob, curious…. If yours doesn’t exhibit any symptoms, are you planning to drop the motor to have the FF/cams checked?

I’m thinking of doing this with my 2015 sometime this year.

Depends on whether others were able to get a new engine or not by showing there was wear.

My 2014 was on the original engine and 30K KMs when I sold 7 months ago. Rock solid.
