Default SoCal Road Trip Ideas

I'm thinking about taking a road trip during the holiday season (maybe about 3-4 days) in the SoCal region starting in Los Angeles. I want it to be scenic and GT3 safe, meaning no chance of snow haha. Any suggestions?

I grew up in SoCal, Pasadena in the late 70's for High School, then Santa Monica when I got married. Hard not to like a drive out to Ojai or to Julian. Very scenic, and though 2014 was the last time I was out there, there are areas that still have that Steinbeck feeling.

I always liked 101 towards Santa Barbara- Gaviota all the way towards Cambria as well.

Anywhere along the coastline (aka Pacific Coast Hwy) from Malibu (all the way up to the county line) down into Santa Monica. Then along the coastline in Palos Verdes is beautiful too. If you want great canyon roads, hit up the numerous Malibu canyon roads or Angeles Crest Hwy.

There's always Buttonwillow, Willow Springs, and Chuckwalla!

Do the good vibes run on Friday up the Angeles Crest and meet a bunch of other enthusiasts.

edit… but sometimes there’s snow on the crest. If rain is in the forecast you can skip.

Have you already done:
- Highway 33 from Ojai to 166 (small chance of snow)
- Highway 58 from 5 to 101
- Highwy 156 to 25 through Pinncles Nat. park
- Highway 1 from SLO to Monterey; then further up to Mendocino (that's pretty epic)
- Driven to Napa

More weather dependent:
- 395 north to Reno
- Driven highways 120, 108, 4 across CA

If you haven't done 1 to Mendo, that would be a good 2 day trip; then 128 south across to Napa/Sonoma then choice roads back including 25.
