Default 911R shift **** question

Does it feel any different?

I ordered the Numeric SSK and figured I might go with the 911R **** since I already have carbon trim that matches. I was curious if the feel is different for those who’ve done the switch.

Haha. Agree it’s a sharp looking shift ****. Pricey, but what else is new.

I went ahead and ordered it. The Numeric will feel different anyway.

I have the CF **** on my Speedster and touring and it looks awesome. Wouldn’t do anything else, if you have CF trim.

Agreed. Swapped out the boot to match my stitching, love it.

Oh, I'm looking for a boot (more the plastic frame of the boot with the retaining hooks/clips) you guys don't happen to sell your old boot or know someone who does, do you?

Sorry I don't, they came with the CF **** on both of my cars.

Let me look, i should have mine. I had mine wrapped in Alcantara so used my factory boot vs the one that came with the ****

I managed to break the clips when I removed the boot and **** for installing an aftermarket shifter. I would really only need the boot or even just the plastic frame, but can only find complete boot/**** units.
So if you have no use for your's I'd be interested to give them a new purpose.
@jp884 But if the boots came with the new *****, what about the old boots and ****?
@bishwei Thanks for having a look. Alcantara or leather would not really matter for me, both is fine. Would be good if it was standard black stitching, though. It's

The CF shifter on my speedster came like that from the factory so that is original. Unfortunately, I did not order my touring new so it came like that from the previous owner. Would it be possible to just order the boot from a Porsche dealership?

As far as I know you can only order the complete unit consisting of boot+****. At least there is only a part number for the set. And they cost ridiculous moneys. That's why I thought I'd ask if I can buy a used one that's otherwise not being used and just collecting dust.

Sorry wish I could help. Whenever I get discouraged over the cost of Porsche parts I just look over at what they cost for Ferrari and it makes me feel better

You could likely buy just the boot from Exclusive Option in California. Shoot me a DM and I give you the owner's phone number, if helpful

Thanks for the tipp. They look like they make cool stuff. I just checked their website.
But it's not that urgent for me.
I'd rather give a second hand part, that is otherwise not used anymore and just collecting dust, a new meaning, before I look for other aftermarket options.

Right, understood. They often collect the "core" from buyers who get a new/aftermarket option from them. So they likely have a bunch of OEM core parts. Not sure whether they're collecting dust though
