Pretty straight forward once you get the airbag popped out.

Instructions:

1. Disconnect battery (negative terminal)
2. straighten out wheels and steering wheel
3. using a small flat head (or something of the same size) and insert it up through the tiny hole below the steering wheel. What you're trying to do is to push "UP" on a spring. The airbag will release when you push up on the spring.
4. take out the airbag and unclip all the connections from the airbag and the one connection at the back of the steering wheel .
5. using a t55 torx bit and wrench, unscrew the screw in the middle of the steering wheel. DO NOT TAKE THE STEERING WHEEL OFF!!!!
6. Before taking the steering wheel off, use a marker and make a mark so that when putting the steering back, it in the right position.
7. Now, take the steering wheel off. Put the new wheel back on, make sure to align the small notch(cut) on the ring of the steering wheel with the mark that you made earlier. Connect the airbag and all the connections. Push the airbag back and it's done.

Rad. I’m going to wait for the aluminum version!

I installed mine along with the 992 pdk shift ****. I think the paddles LOOK great but frankly they are too clicky for full time use. I'm going to mainly use them on the track. I prefer shifting with the PDK **** around town. My $.02, beautiful pieces.

I was wondering when you would enter this thread! 😂

Check out @jqwerks on instagram. Specifically posts where they’ve been tagged. They have a couple of videos and I ended up ordering a set after watching them. I like the tactile sound and feel.

I got mine a couple of days ago and haven’t installed it yet. But the mechanism is very crispy and satisfying!

How was the install? I don’t see any directions but am assuming it’s pretty self explanatory.

There are some excellent tutorials on how to remove the steering wheel out there. Once it’s off, flip it over and remove the three screws holding on the steering wheel over and the two screws holding on the OEM paddle mechanisms. Reach inside the wheel and pop off the two wires attached to the paddles. Pop in the JQ Werks ones, reattach the two wires, screw them in, adjust the angle so they don’t hit the wheel when clicked, and adjust the angle/location of the paddles to your preference. Then attach the wheel cover again and reassemble the whole thing in reverse order. All in all, about 30 minutes spent.

It’s even more satisfying once you’re driving with them installed. It’s FANTASTIC.

I just got the JCR paddles to match with my Lava Orange. The click on the paddle is much better than stock and I do love that its still got the OEM look. I am interested in the madtrace ones maybe for my GTS
