Yeah, a GT3 is not a race car but it’s definitely not a comfy cruiser. It’s perfectly drivable on the street, but the Carrera/Turbo S are way better suited than the GT3 to use as a daily driver or cruiser.

Good to know! I hope one day soon that GT3 prices(non RS) come back down to earth. Would love to trade the turbo in for a gt3 to use more as a daily/cruiser. The turbo just doesn't feel as raw/alive to me anymore.

.1 GT3 non-RS is best of both worlds. Just sayin. Raw on the inside, elegant on the outside.

I went from a Turbo S to a GT3T. It was the right move.

Imo 1.1rs is the most forgiving ride of the entire 991 GT lineup except R. I know that is counter intuitive but it was definitely softer ride than 1.1-3 and even a hair less stiff than 1.2-3 and especially 1.2-3rs.

OP ~ a friend sold his 991.1 RS, about a year later he bought a manual .2 GT3

When i asked him which car he prefers, he said the RS was more special

Enjoy the Turbo for what it is, the absolute best Swiss knife sports car in the world. It's the best daily; you won't enjoy daily driving the GT3 as much. Sure the GT3 is amazing and more rewarding and fun, it's also much louder and less versatile and that grates on you over time when used as daily in all weather. The turbo not so much, it reigns supreme in all conditions and weather.

ask me how I know, went from a 991.1 TT to a spyder 718 to a GT3 touring for my daily driver and although in absolutely love the touring, nothing beats the Turbo in and out for all day all weather competence speed and fun, a different kind of fun but one that grows on you over time.

as far as RS vs GT3... well drove the RS (it's a .2) for a bit this weekend and yes I agree it's an event. I may reverse my recommendation and say go with 991.1RS even with older engine; the overall RS experience is unique

For those interested, I went full passion and bought a .2 RS

Justifiable because you invited rational arguments against the .1 RS, and it became clear that all are negated by more downforce.

Congrats. Details on which one you picked up?

More downforce indeed. Bought one with Weissach, a dundon aerokit, 3-way MCS and PFC track kit guards red with some green accents. Not my favorite color combo but all I care about is going fast. Seat inserts are a cheap swap anyway

Dang, amazing! Enjoy. Know a guy running PFC kit on his .1 RS for track, says absolutely outstanding. Clear upgrade from stock/OE+ setups.
