Default Warranty Options

I have a 2014 GT3 with a delivery date of January 2014. I purchased it this March and am finally getting around to enjoying it - I've owned a 991.1 C2S 7MT and a 981 GT4, and I can safely say the GT3 is worthy of its reputation.

I'm not sure whether the engine has been replaced, but I'll know in the next few weeks.

As I try to decide on long term plans for the car, I'd love to know whether anyone utilizes a third-party or other warranty for their 991 GT3. Given some of the replacement costs I read about here (40k+ for engine, 20k+ for PDK), a reliable third-party warranty or factory warranty might be worth the cost.

I have a Safe-Guard warranty on mine. Fortunately I haven’t had to use it yet but they are one of the few reputable companies that will write an extended warranty policy on the GT3 and RS cars.

Would this type of policy still apply / work for cars used on track in DE events?

A cheaper policy with a higher deductible would be ideal.

Correct you are covered if your need for repair happens as the result of track driving, obviously though it can not be the result of an accident.

$100 is Freedom's highest deductible.

They are the same! Correction, approx. the same, newer model years may be even cheaper!

Just want to thank you for your responses - this is incredibly helpful. @Highline-Autos.com , I'll reach out if I decide to go the extended warranty route. Your prices look pretty reasonable.

I got a 5 year 50K miles for a 991.2 GT3 for $5637 from First Automotive. Identical coverage as Porsche. Can’t comment any further as I haven’t made any claims.

VIN gives the most accurate price the first time, the GT3's are pretty straight forward, but when it comes to other makes and models, what size engine, 4WD vs 2WD, diesel VS gasoline all goes into the pricing. I would rather give the accurate pricing the first time then have to come back with "actually... it will be $XXX more.

Stuff like a GT3 however, I'd just need
