Default anyone else had problems with CarGraphics exhaust tips?

I just bought a set of these:

https://www.cargraphic.de/en/your-ve...1gt3er2100kev/

I spent over an hour trying to fit the tips onto the backing plate:

but I could not get the clamp to tighten sufficiently to secure the tips ... anyone else bought these and succeeded in getting them to secure?

Easy, grab some really big wrench such as a plumbers and bend the metal so they squeeze more together before putting it on.

thanks but I dont think so - these parts should simply "work" w/o resorting to "bending" ...

Ok then do this, before installing, make them as TIGHT AS POSSIBLE. Make sure you put some WD-40 on the bolts so it doesn't strip. Once super tight undo them and put them on now

I'll give that a shot - but I think the clamps are "not round" so they are not compressing equally ...

Certainly seems like a fundamental issue, no customer service feedback? They do look good.

So ... I sent the vendor a video of me trying to torque down the tips - their response is "we normally use a gun to tighten" - but they have passed the buck to Cargraphic to approve a return - I will get a set of Akrapovic Ti tips - if CG approve the RMA
