There is no difference when you have one Porsche or more.

I just added my 981 to my insurance and it jumped $1100 for 6 months. I have no tickets or anything on my record. Maybe the Porsche tax? Wasnt as high for my M4.

I have American Modern. They had to cut me a check for over a $1Million loss and was flawless and fast. They have been incredible for over 7 years. Have 10 cars with them.

Everyone should be should be shopping rates. I pay $1,100 per year for a .2 GT3 and I have a 17 year old on my policy.

I use Nationwide and even if I don't drive a car at all, the annual premium for full coverage can be $2k per year to just sit in my garage. No points/infractions on the driving record so you'd think the insurance would be a lot lower for a car that is rarely driven. But that's how Nationwide does it so I'm guessing I'm just throwing money away. My insurance person was no help but figured the Rennlist brain trust has a work-around.

Cheers.

I have two questions, how old are you and how many drivers on your policy? for multiple drivers, you want to make sure that not everyone is on every car and obviously the older you are, the lower the insurance. Try State Farm, they have been good to me!

Unfortunately, there is no separate specialized insurance company for cars that get driven infrequently. I understand perfectly what you are saying. I also paid £ 1500 a year for my car, which was more in the garage. This bothers me a lot. I looked for many ways to pay cheaper, but unfortunately, there is no way. I had to pay the same amount as the drivers who drove the car daily. That's why I haven't been a driver for a while. I sold the car because I spent a lot on it, and now I ride a bike. I bought bicycle insurance from sundaysinsurance.co.uk and paid only £ 1.90. That seems a lot more convenient, haha.

I wonder if you can look at other insurance carriers. I have State Farm (I'm assuming they will cover all your vehicles) and my GT3 gets driven <2K miles a year. I have 4 vehicles currently being covered and the GT3 is only $1100 a year.

I have Hanover Insurance. I think it worth it to find a decent insurance agency and they should be able to shop around your polices. Most insurance agents have access to companies that don't sell direct to the consumer and offer better rates.

Few thoughts, having been down this road my self:

1. Unlike the table above shows - Hagerty definitely insures exotics, for agreed value. I find their and Chubb's rates competitive, and probably 2 of the better ones. I have used both. The pros and cons of each were pretty subtle to me.

2. Many Umbrella policies will include your cars, even if insured elsewhere, provided you maintain and show proof of a certain level of liability on the car's policy. For instance, my Umbrella requires min $500k liability on my cars.

FWIW, I would very strongly suggest you make sure your Umbrella policy ($5m minimum was recommended by many to me) covers all your cars, as cars are sadly an unfortunate common cause of actually needing one's Umbrella policy (accidents etc..)

3. A good independent insurance agent can be value added in terms of navigating the above. Many will write Hagerty, Chubb, and others...
