Default GT3 RS Magnesium Wheels

I am considering coating a set of Magnesium wheels (new factory Weissach wheels) as I want black wheels on my RS - does anyone have any recommendations on who could do this? Unsure on how they should be prepped and should they be powder coated or painted? I have some contention against it and am debating buying a set of non-magnesium wheels in black to drive that for a bit before messing with these. But wanted to ask at the least.

My 2cts would be to go the route in the latter part of your comment. A bit safer if your goal is just to have black wheels on your RS. GL!

You can always just buy a black set of magnesium wheels from Manthey Racing.

I personally would not "mess" with the factory Mg wheels - you will kill their value if nothing else...

Have you tried ordering OEM in black?

I was under the impression they were backed up or unavailable at the moment, hence the thought of changing color. Otherwise, sure I'll sell the gold set and buy a black set even if it costs some money out of pocket.

Not a bad thought, I'll throw some info up over the weekend. Even if someone has used would be open to that, good suggestion before changing color

After thinking on this, I will either sell the current wheels I have or swap someone for a black set of wheels. PM me if anyone has interest and I will create a marketplace thread for the ad when I can get some photos.

Missed that, thanks Larry. I know some like that with GR but not for me. I might go the Manthey route to get silver.

Correct, Aurum in color. Ill post some photos over the weekend and create a thread as I have got a few messages and it is clear that wheels should not be modified since being Magnesium.
