Default Forgeline wheels for my 991.1 RS!

I mounted my brand new Forgeline VX1R’s in satin black in OEM sizes today. These will primarily be my track wheels. I want to pass along this information for the seller because he does not advertise on Rennlist. His name is Gerry Corbo and he is President of CW4L. He sells Forgeline wheels and other high end brands at wholesale pricing. I first encountered Gerry when I bought Forgeline GS1R for my C7Z. He is very responsive and has by far the best pricing. He gave me a discount that essentially gave me a free wheel. Any of you looking for new Forgelines should shoot him a text for a quote. Chances are excellent he’ll respond within ten minutes. I’m not kidding. My experiences with him have been excellent and I hope some of you can reap the benefit of doing business with him as well.

Enjoy!

Mike

The wheels are 20x9.5 and 21x21.5. I’m not certain on actual offset as I let Forgeline make the recommendation, however it looks very similar to OEM. Please contact Gerry for specific pricing if you’d like that info

Awesome they make them in OEM spec sizes. What are the estimated weight savings vs stock?

Nice. Personally not a fan of satin black, though I recently received my set of 19" VX1R's where I went a little wider front and rear.

I don't get the secret pricing. Distributors are easily able to vary the prices they offer, as I was first quoted $9,400 for my set with MPSC2's then they knocked off $800 and free shipping.

if wheels are just for the track, any particular reason why didn't went for a smaller wheel size?

I figured I would keep the car set up as it was designed.

I am not planning to run Hoosiers or full slicks and wanted tire size options for Cup2s, dunlops, and trofeo R. I only get to do three events per year and I’m usually pretty rusty for the first event so I appreciate a tire that communicates the limit long before I’m there.
