Default noise around PCM between 4000 and 5000 rpm touring

Hello everybody
I am a happy new owner of 991.2 GT3 touring.Fabulous car but I'm still a little annoyed because above 4000 rpm the vibrations of the car are transmitted to the dashboard and the PCM and it sizzles.
I don't know the GT3 well and I wonder if this is normal ?
Then above 5000 rpm I hear nothing because of the roaring engine

Many thanks for your opinion

My first GT4 had an issue like that. I never narrowed it down. When I sold it, the new owner took it to the dealership for them to figure it out. Turned out to be the little switch that controls the ac/heat fan speed.

Probably not your issue, but try holding it while going through your problem RPM range. Could be a cheap and easy fix.

Ah yes…the 4000rpm harmonics issue. I have a .2 GT3 (not Touring) and have same issue. It rattles the rear view mirror vigorously and I feel it in my seat and steering wheel. I havent noticed it shaking or making noise in the dash or PCM….yet. I took it in to dealer to check, they acknowledged it was pretty pronounced, but normal. So they checked motor mounts and engine anyway and noticed the tensioner pulley was leaking hydraulic fluid all over the belt and the belt appeared to be slipping. They fixed and said it should help, but it still the same.

Not sure anything can be done about it. I’m curious how others have dealt with it.

Weird. I have not noticed it in either of my .2 GT3s.

Now I'm going to look for it, and probably hate you because I won't be able to hear anything but that now. Haha

Nope, have not noticed it in either of my 2 GT3's either, on track nor on the street. Not normal, but likely not terrible. If it's annoying enough, have the dealership check it.

I have the same issue with my touring, going to have the dealer look into it when it's in for annual service next month.

I also have this issue. I tried to hold the AC switch but it didn’t seem to be the cause.

These cars really vibrate around 4-5k rpm and I’m starting to wonder if chasing these rattles down in a GT car is really possible. It really isn’t a quiet car to begin with.
