Hi Larry:
There's no pricing available yet according to Gunter at FJ. He said he'd likely have that info in the next few days. I'll report it here once I hear back.

Pay for upgrade to use ****, laggy, elementary software. No thanks. Porsche Connect on our cars reminds of me of using computer software in the 90's and early 00's.

I always enjoy showing people my $90,000 cayenne alongside the $2 app that a 13 year-old made in a high school programing bootcamp...

Clearly no one cares as this thread died after this comment. BUT, oddly enough my app still works for my 2018. I got the letter saying it wouldn't work, I confirmed with my service advisor that it was supposed to stop working and yet it still works. Yes the app is subpar but here we are. Just thought someone would like to know!

I heard a few other people say their 3G is still working. I am guessing its a slow ramp down...?
I did get word from Porsche that the original app is going to be taken offline soon. Despite being ugly as sin, the original app had a few more features than the new one. Oh well. We don't buy Porsches for their cracking technology (non-drive related) and apps...

Oddly enough Land Rover turned off my wifi in my 2020 Discovery saying 3G was discontinued even though it should be on 4g. My guess is that 3G is off but I really have no idea.

It seems like T-Mobile is taking the 3g connections now. Look at the link: https://www.rvmobileinternet.com/att...ment-t-mobile/.
My 2021 cayman gts can still get the signal in Bay Area In CA, and it makes sense. Free upgrade was available once in December in the last year, but it was gone. I do not know the upgrade will be able to be done now.

I give no ****s about the Porsche connect app, but I did like the car having it's own internet connection for traffic and google earth display. Since it stopped working for me, I no longer have google earth unless I tether internet from my phone.

Track precision app and 3G sunset
Does the track precision app still work after the 3G sunset? Not that I’ve been able to get it to work ever in my 2018 GT3, but I am still hoping some day it will. The app worked almost every track day in my 2016 GT4. But for some reason, no one at local dealerships, Porsche customer service, or ATT can figure out what the problem is now. I think the gps/location services is not activated on the app on my phone, but who knows.
Just wondering.
