Just some ramblings….all situations are different, but I just had to buy a set of race ramps for my Bendpak lift because even with FAL (which I have on my Touring) I couldn’t get up the thing - had to back up..in fact I started a thread here once for help in repairing the mesh in my passenger side grill that popped out when my spoiler nudged into the end of the ramp …maddening……and there is a small rut in our lot at my golf club parking lot that need it on…and where I enter into my office parking lot…AND…and there is nobody who wont take your car when you go to sell it because it has it….so I will chime in on ‘must have’ side. We even ordered it on my wife’s Targa because we lowered it with HAS and thankful it gave us the option. That technology on 992s with GPS is really cool…but that’s another thread…

When I was in the market for my 991.2 back in 2017 I was convinced I needed it. I found the right spec but it didn’t have FAL. Now 4 years later I’m still on my front splitter. I just need to back into my driveway and not go to a bunch of parking lots that have dips at the entrances. IMO if your car isn’t a DD, you’ll be fine without it. If you plan to DD, you probably should keep looking.

Not a deal breaker, but a very useful feature when you encounter something on your drive that will otherwise scratch or smash the front lip.

I specifically searched for a car without FAL. Having driven lowered cars all my life and knowing how to angle, it just wasn't necessary for me. FAL also equates to more things that can fail and extra weight to the car.

depends on where you live and if you actually use the car. if you drive 250mi a year to C&C and rarely use it for anything else, no need for FAL. Otherwise, it's a pain in the ***, especially if the roads and parking lots you frequent don't have very smooth transitions. I don't think i'd buy a modern 911 without it. It truly makes the car much more usable.

Must have for me, as in the UK there are plenty of speed bumps to navigate in residential areas. In my view it should be a standard option. I'm on my 3rd 911 now, first with FAL but I'd only look at cars with this option going forward. If you've never had it then you won't miss it!

My 2018 Touring had no FAL. I purchased the FAL from TechArt and it is fantastic. The FAL button replaces the cigarette lighter and is tucked away nicely. Its not cheap but was well worth it and top quality.

Good to know this can be done. Who did your installation? Can I PM you with a few more questions?

Funny enough, while the salesman had specifically mentioned that the car did not have FAL, I did notice in the pictures that it had the button for one. So yeah, it has it after all and I bought it 😉
