Shame Porsche does not have the same philosophy:

I don't know how I feel about that?
In a supply-demand economy, lower supply and/or higher demand equals higher prices.
I would not like it if a multi-national company told be how much I could charge for my goods or services.
But, I also don't want to overpay for anything either.
If no one would agree to pay over MSRP, ADM markups would disappear.

It's still within the free market realm and definitely within their rights as a company to set their own price. Porsche could do the same thing but instead takes the half-assed way out where they allow dealers to set ADM's but not allowed to publicize the ADM. Thus why dealers get all the ire and Porsche escapes criticism for it.

Chandler Porsche actually email solicited bids for their last 991.2 GT3 RS allocation.
It was really blatant soliciting, but they have set their prioritie$.
Champion Porsche style tactics have pervaded the marque - that was not a singular attitude based event.
it is everywhere

I don't know what you are referring to here but having owned a C7 Corvette I found the local dealerships to be far better than my closet Porsche dealer. Yes, GM has the wheel issue and their response to that is disappointing - but I would far rather buy a new Z06 and factor in the cost of a new set of rims than entering into a bidding war for the latest GT product. there may be a lot of money in the market at the moment, but in the next down cycle Porsche may regret not having more concern for their customers (not those who just want the latest fashion statement at their local C&C). IMO this is a smart by GM and will resonate with their loyal customers.

My point is if they truly want to uncover "behavior unbecoming of the brand" they can higher companies to perform mystery shops, both on the technical side (repairs) and sales side (entire sales cycle including mark ups, and additional dealer ad ons). This applies to any OEM, not just GM.

All just window dressing. Ford isn't going to pursue this.
