Who knew Another 2015 991.1 Possible engine Failure…
What’s going on everyone, like the tittle saids not sure if this failure happened to my car sitting on 25,798k miles. I did a lot of research before i actually purchased the car a year ago so i did know that this could or could not happen. Fast forward to yesterday on my way home from work i was banging on gears up and down and all of a sudden got the some warning lights along with flashing CEL light. I quickly pulled over shut car off restarted it after a few mins and nothing changed. I then drove home and plugged up my pocket scanner which showed 3 Codes P0138/P0302 and another P0302. I did then shut the car off for a few hours and turned it back on but no luck. Dropping the car off at the dealer on Monday so they can do there own diagnostic. Two months ago i did OEM Spark plugs my self and tq them down to spec. But aince then i have being to the track and on the highway punching it with no issues. Here are some pictures of what i saw on dash.
so i jacked the car up to check the coils and connectors and all is good on both sides. I then proceeded to disconnect every coil connection to see if maybe something changes but nothing did. I then read codes again and saw 10 eras i freaked out but I'm sure it was from disconnecting the plugs lol. So after all that I erased all codes and turned car back on and got Code P0302 only.
Same exact thing happened to me yesterday. I had a track day for today, Monday the 25th and was driving to the hotel yesterday evening and all of a sudden, flashing CEL, misfire under load. Turn off car / Turn on car - same thing happens. Next morning, steady CEL, no misfire - but I took it easy driving it.. I end up limping the car back home 2+ hours to the dealer instead of going to the track day. Dealer pulls the information on the car and it shows its still on the original E series engine with 66k miles. Lets see what happens after their diagnosis.

wow, what code you get ? Do you know the car has the E engine ?
I did not run the codes, I did not have a scanner on me and just wanted to go straight to the dealer instead of stopping home. The dealer information when they run the VIN shows the car is still on the original E engine.
