991.1 GT3 on track, considering Tarett Spring Upgrade and / or DSC Control Module
I searched, but currently am mobile. I apologize if this has been covered. My current track toy is a 991.1 GT3. I am considering either the Tarett Spring upgrade kit, or the DSC Control Module. Not that there is a lot wrong with this car STOCK, but I was coming from a 997.2 set up with MCS Suspension and track alignment.
I do not want this to be “un-streetable” but would love to hear your recommendations. Would love to see if anyone has done the spring upgrade.
The Tarett springs have two levels:
let me know if you have made the spring change! Will it be ok with the rear steer?

- 2 Front 560 or 672 lb/in Swift main springs

Forget about the DSC alone. You can just over-damp it but its not what your are searching for. You need stiffers springs AND (to not allways run in sport mode) the DSC module.
I have the .2 RS springs in my 991.1 GT3 and use the DSC controller with individual settings (totally different from the factory presets) to make it nice for street (a liiiitle underdamped at low speed and just right at higher speed) and perfect for track in sport mode (full stiff in the rear and 80% front). Its very good on track, much better car control and cofindence than stock and sportive but not bone hard on the road. I like it very much.

I have both the Swift spring upgrade (slightly different rates) and the DSC controller. While the springs are stiffer than stock, the car is still very streetable. With this setup, I prefer the suspension on normal mode while on the track. No issues with RWS, my alignment is setup where the car very predictable and controllable on track.

I took it one step further and went with the DSC tractive coilovers with .2 RS spring rates and solid monoballs up front. I'm very happy with the setup. The cars turns with much better precision and doesn't move around as much as stock. The street ride is stiffer but the trade off is worth it.

do you know the spring rates of the .2 RS springs?

Also curious what spring rates people are running. I've ran the DSC V3 controller this past year and with a custom map it has been awesome. But would like to play around with stiffer springs to see how the car feels.

Yes. 1. GT3, .1 RS and .2 GT3 use linear 45 in the front (165mm in .1 GT3 and 190mm in RS and .2 GT3 with different "Federteller") and 100-120 rear, .1 GT3 has helper springs in the rear and RS and .2 GT3 have a progressive spring (they call it integrated helpers) - both making effective 100-120 n/mm.
.2 RS has 165 90 or 100 n/mm plus helper in the front and 160 n/mm plus helper in the rear. The .2 RS spring fit plug and play into .1 RS and .2 GT3. The .1 GT3 needs the new "Federteller" in the front but can re-use its helper spring in the rear. At all a very easy mod. The standard PASM is a bit underdamped then but sport mode is perfect (and more comfortable than with the stock springs, because the rebuond fits better). With the DSC you can adjust to your needs.

I have the same setup, with springs and the dsc controller. Have attempted to make some adjustments to the two maps. I find the comfort mode to be too bouncy, and am a bit happier with the sport mode over the stock sport mode.
WIth that said , any chance anyone would share their maps with me too?
