Default Nice to see one on the road

While coming back from a ride in the Dolomites this past weekend I spotted a 911R and a 992 GT3 Touring just on the roadside. Never thought I would see an R out in the wild but so cool to see someone clearly using it judging by the bug marks on the bumper. It was gorgeous.

I have never seen an "R" on the road....

Is that a German plate on the R ??

Thanks for sharing!

Nice spot. The R is from South Germany (Boeblingen). Looks like the 992 is a factory car / press car by looking at the plate

Wow, this is an early production R, belonging certainly to the factory. BB is Böblingen, the area in which Weissach and Flacht are located. EM means Entwicklung Motorsport (motorsport development).

And the 992 Touring is registered in Stuttgart by Porsche communication service. GO means GesamtOeffentlichkeitsarbeit.

Very interesting. Gives me a bit of hope that they could be tuning the ride in the touring to try to get it a bit closer to the R. That would be heaven.

Touring sounds like it has a tampon in. Can’t wait to hear what JCR and Dundon come up with.

This isnt right, touring 992 is 6 seconds slower than winged car? Wow. Maybe tires were different?

I still believe the suspension is set differently in the touring due to less downforce , despite PAG marketing.

thanks for posting. the gearbox in the R looks very notchy. 4th to 3rd not fluent at all. I wasn't a fan of the 992 Touring but it looks to be a much better composed car.
Still keeping my 991 touring just for the looks
