Porsche Platinum, $250 deductible, 6 additional years/75k miles. Pretty straightforward to do for my 991.2 GT3.

These are the coverages I was quoted. Remember you can only do it once and must do it before original warranty expires.

My dealer only offers platinum.- 24 mo/60k mi - $3623

- 36 mo/60k mi - $3837

- 48 mo/60k mi - $4078

- 60 mo/60k mi - $5149

- 60 mo/100k mi - $7497

- 72 mo/75k mi - $6649

- 72 mo/100k mi - $7927

There was also an option for $100 deductible.

100k 72 month beyond the CPO was $8700. Lower deductible, they only presented one option. 2016 GT3.

I'm a bit skeptical these third-party warranties actually come through for you when something does happen. Say your motor grenades... is it going to be covered, minus $250 for deductible on a $80K claim (or however much it costs)? Probably not. My dealer included a wheel warranty with my GT3RS. Said it would cover wheel damage, etc. Well, I tried to use it for a curbed wheel and was denied. They came up with all sorts of excuses. Totally useless.

I'm 0 for 4 so far in trying to find a Norcal dealer who will sell an extended warranty for a 2018 GT3. If anyone has any leads in California, please let me know.

I am in Norcal but I haven't started my search yet... Any reason why they can't sell Porsche extended warranty?

Got one with my car new from Steven's Creek (and got what I think was a good price). Assume you tried them as you're in SJC.

Most tire and wheel warrantys only cover the damage if the wheel/tire will not hold air. Cosmetic (curb) damaged is not sufficient to pay out on a claim. Again, "most". It's in the contract no one reads until they go to file a claim.

Not all of them.

And, yes, I've read the fine print. Every print. Fine or otherwise.

Wow, I'm over in AZ and I have a 2015 GT3. I'm past the bumper to bumper warranty (54k miles) so Porsche Chandler guy said he could only do third party. The quotes I got were:
(for time/miles past current date) $500 deductible
12/18000 = 11,047
24/36000 = 14,633
36/54000 = 17,758
48/72000 = 21,326
60/90000 = 25,062

$1000 deductible
12/18000 = 10,541
24/36000 = 14,126
36/54000 = 17,252
48/72000 = 20,820
60/90000 = 24,455
- That's about 3x what people are discussing here in just a few months difference. Anyone else have any data to add? I'm not sure what company this is through, I have to go back and look it up.

Not a chance in hell. Here's what I would do
1. Get that original engine out of there
2. Set $20k aside for a PDK replacement which you'll likely never need.
