Given the strong used car market, my dealer is offering a ridiculous amount on trade in for my Quartzite 2021 Cayenne GTS in exchange for a Nov build Cayenne Coupe Turbo. Not a fan of white / moonlight / carmine / cashmere; would like a change from the Quartzite. Love black but hard to keep clean in the Chicagoland winters...which brings me to chalk, which looks great in isolation but may be a bit too much crayon alongside my Chalk GT3. What are your thoughts about having two cars of the same color?
Why ask others what you should like? Go for it if it makes you happy. Chalk is a bit distinctive for me to have two such cars, yet somehow I would have no problem with two black cars. So I’d choose a diff color but these are your cars, not mine.
Color is a most subjective measure that only the owner can decide. There are a few Porsche colors that I really like but when push came to shove both my 911's have been GR cars...so do whatever floats your boat dude .
Good to see other chalk admirers and owners here...saw a black cayenne coupe turbo with the lightweight sport package and it looks fantastic but is likely difficult to keep clean in the chicagoland area, particularly in the winter. Will be going with the chalk...am somewhat disappointed with the color palette ie white x 2 / black x 2 / silver / cashmere (??) and not willing to spend $11K for PTS (for an SUV). Wish the Arctic Gray offered on the new Turbo GT was available...
Chalk is my favorite car color of recent memory. I can see why people would argue it's a bit bland, but I think it's absolutely gorgeous. It has brightness and timelessness, flat paint color without metallic dilluting the light reflection, but has more depth than white and is more interesting that gray with the benefit of subtleness.
Jetta's get Chalk for free. You pay a third of their MSRP for that color. Both of these cars fall under the same VW umbrella.
I personally don't mind the color and have seen nice examples, but due to the above line I could never do it. That's just insulting. Y U play me like this Porsche? Besides that, so many other cars have Lava Orange knock off's and I'm pretty damn sure Jetta's get LO or something close.
Besides all that, I think it's super corny to have a Chalk GT3 and then a Chalk Cayenne. "Oh look, here comes the crayon guy! He must own Crayola!"... lol I'm just teasing and getting a little carried away. But you catch my drift. Imagine two Miami Blue's or two Lava Orange GT3's/Cayenne/Macan. One is nice, but two is too much.
Yea, that's why its a tough decision. In isolation, I prefer the Chalk CC Turbo, but may be overkill given the Chalk GT3...second favorite color is black, but maintenance is a bear. It feels like Porsche did a crap job with the color options, but then again, most BMW / Audi / MB SUV's on the road are black, white, silver or gray, except maybe for Urus's. Perhaps black is best...
