I don't miss the traffic, but I do miss the North Georgia and NC mountain roads.

I've experienced bad roads lots of places. The bumper car NYC driving and parking is like no other place I've been! It's not an accident unless meaningful damage is done. Bumpers are a regular functioning part of the car.

20 Morris Street in Battery Park is a large and reasonably priced self park garage sitting on top of several arteries into/out of the city (avoids the traffic, cobble and other dangerous associated with the 'interior') and is accessible from 2/3, 4/5/6 and N/Q/R. I lived in the city for the better part of 15 years and there's no sugar coating the impractical reality of keeping a car like a GT3 in a parking garage... IMO, self park is ideal. Cover it, park it near a Tesla and hope they keep sentry mode on. Good luck.

Its underneath Lincoln Center, there are loads of entrances. There is a main entrance on West 62nd between Amsterdam and Columbus, or one off Amsterdam roughly in line with 63rd street. Its a big garage, multiple levels, not assigned spots so you can park anywhere. Plenty of choice spots which allow you to avoid dings etc. Only reason I dont park there anymore is I moved slightly further away and now park my BMW in my building (where the valets happily kick the crap out of it). If I kept my GT4 in the city (which I don't), I would of kept the Lincoln Center spot as well.

There is a new place for sports cars/ exotics on 86th street between Park and Lexington (on the south side of the street, mid-block. It is a dedicated floor in a “regular” parking garage. I checked it out and thought it was very decent. I will provide details as soon as I can locate. That said, I park various cars on a rotating type basis up in Katona/New Bedford at what is now called the Hagerty Garage and Social (formerly the Collector’s Car Garage). It’s a nice drive up the Saw Mill to pick one up or swap outa do they host some great rally’s, cars and coffee events and track days as well.

I've been trying to figure this out as well...it's not easy. As for the roads and a GT3, the roads in Manhattan themselves are actually quite good of late...they have been doing tons of repaving...the issue is more the morons who ride their bikes the wrong way down the street in the middle of the road, the idiots who ride Ebikes 30 miles an hour in and out of traffic like no one else exists, the pedestrians who have no issue walking in the middle of the road...the driving rules for the street are totally gone...it's lawless...I drove my Singer one day to a car show by the Vessle and being only on the west side hightway was fine...

Tower East Parking on e71 and 3rd is worth checking out. It's been a few years since I've brought anything nice into Manhattan but when I did they were one of the few that I trusted. There's a monthly who parks his multiple exotics there for a few years now.

I live in lower Manhattan and the roads are not bad at all. Try going to Montreal. Now the drivers / riders on the other hand are aggressive and I would hesitate to even leave my car parked on the street for coffee. If you're taking the car out of the garage and going for a blast, late night / early AM Manhattan as of late is a cool place to drive around as long as you're parking back in the garage. Or if you're taking the car to drive out of Manhattan altogether.

Try Hagerty Garage in Bedford Hills. It’s a Metro North train ride up but I would not drive or park my GT3 in Manhattan. Coming from a 50+ year NY resident.
park your DD in a NYC garage and keep the 911 safe.

Parking any of my cars away from me is a great way to ensure I never use them. It's the same as when some of my friends tell recommend living in Jersey City or something, I know myself I am not making it over the bridge or tunnel that often - then what's the point of even paying Jersey City rental rates? You may as well just rent a Porsche for a day if you're trekking into Jersey.
I plan on parking my fun car in a self park garage by Lincoln tunnel. It's a short uber ride away. These cars are emotional purchases, parking it too far away chases away some drives you could have had. And those memories are something I cannot live without.

But to actually be constructive (unlike some), as others have mentioned Paddock is a five star experience in Manhattan, but you're definitely paying for it. Hudson Stables over in Hoboken is a similar offering, and is right off the Hoboken 14th Street ferry landing (or a 10 minute walk from NJ transit). One thing I've done in the past is searched the parking & storage section on craigslist; I've found a couple good self-park spots that way. Otherwise, pound the pavement, take down phone numbers, and call the garages.
