I've done work on my cars before. Suspension installs, shifter changes, electrical/lighting... But I don't currently have the space or time or tools to do it. So to a shop it goes.

I had 2 year service done with 16,500 miles on 3RS. Price was about $3000 and did include extra cost for air filters which are not on the 2 year service list but spark plugs are. Of course they probably charged me $500 to vacuum out the air intakes.

That's exactly why I want to do the intakes lol. Did you have any offs on track or is that from normal street driving?
In other news, I found an independent performance shop to do the work for half what the dealers wanted.

My car is due for two-year service. Dealership is quoting me $3,000 for:
Oil change
Brake fluid change
Spark plugs
Cabin air filter (but NOT engine intake filters)
Does this sound... kind of ridiculous to you guys? And shouldn't the engine intake filter be part of this?

In Porsche Bucharest Center same two year/30.000Km second service was 1270 EUR + 19% VAT on my GT3.
You can maybe double or 3x the labor.
Numbers are in RON, 1 USD = 4.16 RON.

Wow, that's some seriously dirty air filters! You must live/drive on some dirty, tree lined roads. My air cleaners did look anywhere near that dirty after 14,000 miles.

Take it to S-Car-Go in San Rafael. They are by far the best Porsche shop in the Bay Area from my experience...and they always have a plethora of interesting Porsches out front to check out.
