Default LWBS Creaking - warranty issue?

Hi All - my LWBS are making a creaking noise whenever I move in the seats - including during cornering. I can also grab the head of the seat with my hand and move it side to side making it creak pretty easily.

Think this is a warranty issue and could get the seats replaced? Just loose connection points? Will Porsche say this is "normal wear and tear"?

I'm about to pull the seats to replace with a set of Sparcos for track duty, but wanted to get this fixed beforehand if possible.

I think it's just par for the course. If I move around and push back on the wheel mine creak pretty good.

Yeah. I took my wife out for a drive yesterday and they were creaking on the curves in the backroads - and no, I wasn't flying, just a casual drive.

It's a shame as it makes a very expensive set of seats feel quite cheap.

Agreed - par for the course.

LWBS creak and PCCBs squeal. Just part of driving a racecar on the street IMO.

Is it a creak or more of a pop? Mine pop quite a bit under load which I guess is single fibers snapping in the laminate.

I had the same issue and mine turned out to be the plastic shoulder harness pass through trim. In my case it did not appear to have anything to do with the carbon seat structure.

I can deal with brake squeal but is it really common for LWBS to creak? Honestly...that's just about a deal breaker me. Unacceptable.

This is something I haven't noticed or cannot replicate at all. The LWBS in my 2004 GT3 as well as my 2019 RS make no noises what so ever. The latter is much more planted when I grab and shake the top of the seat.

this is just started with LWB after 3 days at the Glenn - I have not had a chance to investigate yet but assumed its just a case of checking bolts etc - doubt its a fundamental seat integrity issue.

I would agree that it's likely just bolts or something else loose and not integrity. However, still very annoying was not expecting to have to do "seat maintenance"

agreed, its annoying although I must sympathize with my seat - its trying to control more mass than it might have expected
