I'm always very skeptical about aftermarket aero modifications like this, after all Porsche wind tunnel tests and models their aero extensively, so what does this do to your GT3's aero, increase drag (most likely), increase or decrease rear downforce, and then
how does that affect the aero at the front of the car ...
beats me!
I still recall how light my 996.2 GT3 became at the front when I accidentally ripped the cup front splitter off of the car (with the RS wing at the back set with the 4 degree shims) ...

It doesn’t even look good. It droops over the risers like it’s too big - not a smooth transition. How can anyone look at that and think it looks stylish?

I agree it doesn't look great, but if there's real world data on its effectiveness and/or CFD data to support that it adds a noticeable increase in downforce, I would be interested to install it just for track days and take it off in between. I have a cup lip on the front of my car and currently run the OEM wing at max angle w/Dundon Gurney flap at the track, but could use more stability out back.

I think you're right about that Larry, does anyone know that Motorsport has its own resonance bench that tests how the wing "vibrates?" The forces on the wing are more than just raw pressure flows, breakages more often occur due to rigidity/flexibility problems. I am very hesitant to add any component that hasn't been rigorously tested by the manufacturer.

Did you open the attachments?
The first thread is a Dundon $495.00 Gurney flap and my thread was a Sun Tiger $1,299.00 GT3 wing riser.
Two different products.
