I don’t think it makes much of a difference, at least it’s a nice car. If you don’t like the contribution just scroll down and skip the message and the pic.

Looks like the BAT auction sold the Brewster Green speedster at 385K. A little less than I thought for a PTS car considering the signal yellow car that sold recently for 440K. I have a Brewster Green car with similar specs but more interior CXX, so I was curious where this might end up. I do like the speedster, the sound above 4000 rpm is pretty cool. I decided to stay stock on the exhaust, although was very tempted to do the Dundon system. Overall the speedster is a nice package to tool around on the weekend. As Ferris Bueller would say " if you have the means, I highly recommend it".

OP here. I decided that a Gt2 is more in alignment with my mission. I have a Touring that I adore. The Speedster was too similar other than the wonderful benefits of being topless. It is interesting that a Gt2 sells for MSRP - 10% where the Speedsters sell for MSRP or more.

My only guess is the Speedster will always carry a number plate x of 1948/first to carry the GT3 motor which sits in the 992 GT3.

I am sure you are right.
Am I correct that Porsche made 1000 GT2s and 1000 Speedsters (1948)?

Speedster numbers made was 1948 year Porsche was born, and mine is 1468 of 1948. Not sure on number of GT2RS’s but more than 1000.

Rennlister JCBH has speedster and 2RS among other great cars including 911R. Suspect he could provide a good assessment of differences and similarities when in drivers seat. A lot may depend on what type of driving experience you are looking for and how you will use car. I personally have R and Speedster ( provided some thoughts between the two in separate thread). Two are different enough to enjoy both based on driving I do which is not on the track

good luck with search

That number would be around the US allocation not global builds. The 1948 for speedsters is the global build number.

Wonder what you guys think of this car as it has been listed up for sale for a while. It is Agate Grey with a LTS Bordeaux Red interior.

I might be in the minority here, but I think this combo works pretty well. If I had the opportunity to spec a Speedster with LTS this wouldn’t be my first choice, but IMO this combo works.

I think they are asking MSRP which is $362k, maybe wrong on this so correct me if otherwise. Curious to see what you guys think of this one since the Brewster Green one on BaT and the Signal Yellow one at Mecum recently sold way over MSRP.

^^^Hard to fathom why anyone would spend $65k on an all Bordeaux interior. Only the red leather trim was likely >$10k. Zero contrast. smh

The numbers just don't add up in this case. Whatever, not my money so who am I to judge.

I’m not sure this would be considered LTS(leather to sample) as Bordeaux is a leather color offered in the current 911 options. If you were to order a leather that was not in the current 911 options like for example Ascot that would be an LTS designation. There would be a premium up charge for leather sourcing based on the amount of special leather required.

My guess minus seeing the build sheet this car has a ADM tied to it ........MSRP is 275k, and the gap is 87k which can’t be the interior only. It’s non-PTS, and it will take a buyer who just loves the car .....this is what happens when a dealer builds/flips a car. But, it’s LA someone will buy it I use to live near this dealer lots of cash around there.
