Question: 991.2 Speedster
#32
thanks for posting...1200+ in US and CAN is a lot. This tells me that global production is 2x+ that amount. I can see why speedsters are at or above msrp and the GT2s are not...

My guess minus seeing the build sheet this car has a ADM tied to it ........MSRP is 275k, and the gap is 87k which can’t be the interior only. It’s non-PTS, and it will take a buyer who just loves the car .....this is what happens when a dealer builds/flips a car. But, it’s LA someone will buy it I use to live near this dealer lots of cash around there.

So, yes, tangential information is allowed, but don't you want to hold yourself to a higher standard, considering you were an aerospace engineer (I'm doubling down on my previous guess at your career.)
To the OP, prices have definitely increased.

I have a Brewster Green car with similar specs but more interior CXX, so I was curious where this might end up. I do like the speedster, the sound above 4000 rpm is pretty cool. I decided to stay stock on the exhaust, although was very tempted to do the Dundon system. Overall the speedster is a nice package to tool around on the weekend. As Ferris Bueller would say " if you have the means, I highly recommend it".

Yes, I love the wood trim; something different than the carbon fiber. Gives the car a classic retro feel. Mine is mahogany also but gloss finish. I’ve seen your pics with the mahogany satin finish and it looks great. The whole package on your car is well coordinated, superb! Enjoy, speedster is such a fabulous car!

Don’t think it’s possible to beat an open-top GT3, especially with the Speedster lines and ethos. Definitely a few 991 GT cars that will go down as classics, but none as special as the Speedster.

Thanks - drove it again all day today. It really is the perfect all season California car. 000 Magazine just did a neat story on the wood interiors (and featured my car) in issue 016...turned out pretty nice. Had some photos taken by a photographer friend of mine at Motor Trend. Love how they turned out. He really captured the wood as well as the Cohiba leather.

true. I was going to be super-picky and only choose a heritage edition...now, I am open to everything.
We have GR 2018 Touring and I do adore it. Can't imagine that car with no roof. There are 2-3 red speedsters for sale...might just keep to the red theme.

I understand you are attempting to provide a data point.
But... the OP did NOT ask about GT2RS.
It's almost like that ABIZ guy from ATL that feels obligated to include or recommend his four year old 911 Turbo S over a GT car every chance he can.
I think we should make a sub-forum for you two guys. Lol.
