Trickle Charger Connection

For all of Porsche’s engineering brilliance, they have some odd blind spots that would be easy for them to deal with and would greatly improve the ownership experience:
1) battery tenders - these cars are stored by a lot of people...why do they not have a socket that is independent of the ignition switch? Trivial to re-engineer.
2) oil level - if you insist on having the car monitor it’s own oil level, that’s fine but please spend the 300 grams for a proper dipstick for the rest of us who like checking things the reliable way!

2015 GT3. CTEK 4.3 maintainer.
1) turn car off, remove key
2) plug CTEK into wall power, then into charger in center console
3) Forget about it
4) This has worked on my car for several years

You guys are not kidding about the varying and contradictory accounts. Due to that, I just connect directly to the battery. One end is bolted to the connectors, the other bullet/socket end velcro'd to the plastic cover for easy access. No issues at all, no worries through the NE Ohio winter months

I just have comfort cables and attach in the frunk like my other cars. So much easier. Plug it in and walk away.
The only reason I'd use the cig lighter/12V extension is if the car battery was dead and the frunk was shut, since there is no emergency quick release/pull cable built into the car.
I run an Antigravity battery now, so hopefully that will never be an issue with the built in jump charge.

I have a couple ctek 7002 chargers. I didn't notice before, but today both chargers were showing fully charged, but I could hear what sounded like a relay clicking every 15-30 seconds on both units co nected to different cars. I don't think this is normal behavior, but can anyone comment if they have the same situation?
