Default 991.1 GT3 with a Base Carrera Decklid?

Hello,

Now I know this type of thread has been posted dozens of times, I just wanted to know this specific question though. What would you Porsche enthusiasts estimate would be the logistics and cost of putting a rear decklid from a base 991.1 Carrera onto a GT3? I'm looking to trade in my 997.2 Turbo S for one, and I like the, "under the radar", appeal of the Turbo S, with that screaming Flat 6 from the GT3. If there are any individuals or threads with this topic please direct me to them. Again, not a ducktail, but the base carrera decklid.

Thanks

Unaware of the logistics but you just better make sure that engine can breathe if you do that.

It seems prudent to plan for the 911R rear grille once you have the deck lid in place.

Compared to paying 50-100k premium for a touring over a 991.1 GT3, I'd say its pretty miniscule. Not by any means cheap though, but a project like this wouldn't be.

It's been done many times. I would assume in addition to the decklid, you'd have to also swap your carbon fiber center frame assembly to this rear spoiler frame/mechanism:

And then to make the spoiler work you'd have to wire up a spoiler button and code the car to accept a mechanical wing. Unless you go with a fixed ducktail or something like this guy:
