If I had to categorize watch brands with car brands, here would be my take:
Patek Philippe = Ferrari
Audemars Piguet = Lamborghini
Rolex = Porsche
Richard Mille = Koenigsegg
Hublot = Mclaren
Omega = Mercedes Benz
Seiko = Toyota
Patek Philippe = Ferrari
Audemars Piguet = Lamborghini
Rolex = Porsche
Richard Mille = Koenigsegg
Hublot = Mclaren
Omega = Mercedes Benz
Seiko = Toyota

I think that is pretty spot on but not sure I agree with the Mclaren Hublot example- but then again- upstart watch company that ruffles feathers- yeah- im on board with this.

High end, high tech materials and mechanics. Ugly depreciation curve. And lots of teething issues to work out (literally in terms of RM).

ECLIPSE "MERCEDES-BENZ AMG" WATCH
My Favorite Watch is my Eclipse "Mercedes-Benz AMG" Watch. It uses a larger Battery that lasts longer than my Breitling,
is more accurate than my Rolex, costs far less to service or fix than either of them, and can be replaced for $9.95 at Walmart.

It's a classic.
In a few years, it'll be the hottest item at Sotheby's and Anitquorum.
