I think the only good access is to remove the bumper cover. I tried cleaning behind the grill after a long trip and it was a pain trying to pull down the plastic on the underside.

I was thinking about using a compressor to blow it out but I guess there’s no exit point right

Using shop air or similar is s good start.
I do this now & then.
and its good most of the time.
But the problem is, the smaller particles, you are just pushing them further into the radiators fins.

Periodically, i will remove the front bar, and use shop air to blow from BEHIND (your mind out of the gutter)

This way, your pushing the particles back outward and not through the rad fins.

I have done this method twice, and was shocked at what came out.

Use a leaf blower and push all the leaves to one side, then blow the air into the very corners and that will push the leaves out of the 2 openings.

Did this many times... works every time.

I had butterflies and bugs embedded in the radiators, so any kind of blown air or compressed air didn't work (I tried both). Porsche makes it tough to clean with poor access in that area.

On my old 997.2 (which I no longer own), removing the front bumper was the only way to thoroughly clean all the debris out. I waited till I needed to flush the radiator and did the job all at once. I was really surprised the amount of debris that I removed. There were also dirt sandwiched between the AC condenser and the radiator that I cleaned out as well. With the bumper off, I was able to flush the radiator (unhook the coolant hose for a complete flush), installed a 3rd radiator and also installed the left and right radiator grill guards.

There videos on you tube and the Rennlist site for removing the front and rear bumper covers on 991's. They are same for GT3. It is very straight forward for the rear, just remember to disconnect the license tag light connector. The front is a bit more complicated, but no big effort. There is one connecting bolt one each side that is a PIA but other than that, nothing to worry about. I have the rear down to 15 minutes off and 15 on. The front about 30 minutes each way. BTW, I am in my mid 60's and half the time spent is getting up and down.

Resurrecting this old thread . . .

I think I know the answer to this, but, is there any way to remove those horizontal black plastic louvers without removing the front bumper cover? I was able to remove a bunch of leaves and crap by putting my hand through in between the slats and just grabbing stuff, but if I could remove those black louvers I'd be able to do a much better job.

Also, could you clean out some of the debris in the grill fins by spraying it with a hose?
