Default Removing 991.2 GT3 Sound Insulation

Has anyone removed the factory sound deadening from the rear compartment of their .2 GT3? How difficult to do and what difference did it make for sound--how much increase to interior volume, any increased mix of intake vs. exhaust noise? The hope is to increase intake sound without massively increasing overall volume.

Since I ADDED sound deeding to the rear. There is not much back there. Most of it is attached to the back of the carpet.
If you want more intake sound, add some BMC filters, and if you want more exhaust, just give a kidney to Dundon, and you will be more then happy with the sound in the cabin.

I actually already have BMC filters and a full Akrapovic race exhaust installed (side and center mufflers deleted).

My hope was that deleting the rear compartment sound insulation might let more induction noise into the cabin without necessarily increasing overall volume by a magnitude. I don’t want to do it if the result will be more than 10-15% louder by perception.

If I want to increase the sound, I’ll just get a new exhaust

remove the rear shelf foam and make your own carpet only cover. I did that for a bit for some more valve train/pdk noise.

removing the insulation increases both unwanted sound (road noise) and desired sound (engine noise)

modifying the mufflers only increased the desired sound.

I certainly would prefer to modify the muffler over the insulation
