Do the GT cars or 911's use AGM batteries from the factory

Yes, all cars from the start of the 991.1/981.1 models switched to AGM batteries.

981.GT4 with 2015.12 prod date is without AGM battery. I think they have switched to that at some in 2016 or 2017. At least that seems to be the case for Germany.
