Default Frunk opening from inside?

Is there a possibilty to open/release the frunk from the inside on the 991:s? The reason I ask is that there seems to be a US legal requirement for that, if the luggage area is big enough for a 3-year old to fit in there. I can't find any such device on my 991.2 GT3, but that is a European car. Maybe something is different on the US cars, in order to fulfil this (local?) requirement? Thanks in advance!

(I ask because I have friends in the automotive industry working with this, they found the requirement for some reason and asked me since they know I have a 911, where you would think this would come into play)

(disclaimer: of course I don't plan to put a 3-year old in my frunk, that would not be nice. However that is how the legal requirement is written, with the 3-year old described in dimensions so that a doll can be used to test this)

I think that is a US only feature. https://www.federalregister.gov/docu...-trunk-release

Thanks! Yes, that is how I understood it too. But is there a release mechanism in your cars?

Yes, one of the first pics in this thread shows it. It is the green glow handle on the left side.
