Morning friends. Having just got back to a GT car the itch to modify it is already upon me. My last GT3 had the setup below pictured. The car wasn't my DD so the creaking and squeaking of the bar didn't bother me after several failed attempts to make it quiet. And yes, I always pulled the harness when they weren't in use. The new car is my DD but I also want to do some track events that require a harness. I do NOT want to live with the creaks and squeaks again though...

I don't recall the brand of this setup but I believe it was a GMG. It's been a half decade since I bought it all.

I have a Cantrell bar and once I got it seated it has been quiet, 5 years now...

I had an Alexshop bar for the 991 GT3 and it was rattle and creak free.

My BBi is quiet.

Also have clubsport - lots of creaks and rattles but I don’t mind too much.

My GMG creakes and makes noise sometimes - I think because it attaches to the upper strut towers for the rear mounts and the suspension movements cause noise to be transferred through the bar.

My '19 RS has a GMG bar in it (installed by previous owner), and it makes all kinds of noise. Creaks, clanks, rattles. Pretty annoying actually. Glad to know it's not mounted wrong as I had thought was maybe the issue. They just make a ton of noise apparently!

So it sounds like the GMG is just a terrible design when it comes to the sound factor. I am surely not going to go through that again on a car I plan to DD.

I did install a Titan roll bar on my GT3, for the moment is quiet...
