Does PTS add value for you?

i am also in the camp that found the offered colors boring and the 991.2 GT3 touring ticked every box for me and was a dream car so i was thrilled to get PTS! i chose 22L oak green metallic to match a 964 C4 i also own in 22L.. (i didn't expect to see so many other 991.2 cars also ordered in 22L)

They all drive the same regardless of color. But finding a color that makes you excited each time you walk up to the car is priceless...does not have to be PTS though. For my R it was not....for my Speedster it was

I would not be surprised if your car was one of one of the 991.1 GT3's.

Yes, I think over the long term PTS holds its value over standard colors simply because of the scarcity. People like to be able to say "This is only 1 of ___ in the country etc." There are a ton of GT cars out there so having one that is just a little different is pretty cool.

The price of PTS is somewhere between 4-8% of the car's purchase price depending on which model. It's less $ than PCCB's and LWB's together. Doesn't seem like it should really matter whether it's a value or not. As stated above, it's like the bowling alley in the basement. For some will be a positive, some a negative, and some inbetween. It's something you spec out (or seek used) for your benefit only, not with any consideration for future value. PTS unto itself is no longer exclusive enough to bring any "rarity", although a particular color may be. But unless you're talking about an R in a historic color relevant to the original R's, I can't see it as any kind of value driver.

No, since the 991.1 was not offered in PTS except for a really small window before the production hold, there aren't many at all except for a limited run of 30 PTS in 3 colors. I am referring to NA cars only.
