Took my wife to PEC Atlanta this past weekend where she (for the first time ever) experienced driving on a track (both GT3 and Turbo). Good news - she had a blast. Better news - she liked the GT3 more than the Turbo. Best news - I now have approval to pull the trigger on a GT3 or GT3RS. Curious to hear opinions re this GT3RS/build and pricing:

GT3 vs GT3RS, both cars are very different, performance, driving and comfort feel and price, so make sure you test drive a RS before you purchase
This is a nice car but I am surprised to see that its missing the WP, even though the MSRP is touching $230K
That being said, its a nice car and the price is just about fair, better deals can be found though ......
High sticker on that one is from $10K in extra interior touches and some exterior carbon on the rear mirrors. It's got a lot of the other desirable stuff on it though (FAL, PCCB, PDLS). Missing WP and most people seem to think the RS requires the LWB seats, but your wife will probably much prefer the 18 way seats. If that car had the WP I would have considered it in my search since it has everything else I wanted (including the 18 way seats), and I would have paid near that price. I'd say $185K-$190K would be a decent deal as it sits. I can't see paying $200K for a non WP car.
I definitely wouldnt go that far - but either get the WP or lose 18 Kilos in driver body weight - its the same result
cosmetically I like the logos and the plaque of the WP!
haha, the next buyer isn't going to care if you eat two donuts before bed every night or not...but an RS car without the Wiessach Package is going to be off 95% of prospective buyers' grocery list. I have never even seen a GT2 without the magnesium roof, et al.

WP cars will not get a premium due to the volume, and it’s all cosmetic if you wanted to bust 30k while all are going under MSRP WP/or none. Not sure why anyone buys a car for the next guy ......WP cars are all over, and a matter of taste for the cosmetics.
Weissach package looks worse. You don't get Mg wheels on the GT3 RS either
Perhaps I am speaking from a point of lack of knowledge about the GT3 cars but the GT2 cars with the WP: magnesium roof, CF fenders/bonnet lid, CF rear Wing, CF rear intakes/side intakes, CF sway bars and then the Magnesium wheels carry a very high premium...as I have said I have never even seen a non WP GT2, and the ones without the mag wheels are not on most gent's lists. Obviously looks are subjective but people trip over themselves when they see my WP GT car.

Beautiful car first of all. The GT2 RS with WP has a carbon fiber roof, and the only difference in the 2RS vs 3RS is the magnesium roof and fenders and trunk are all CF with wing. The difference it’s unpainted. Of course the mag wheels with some suspension bits. Both cars trade under MSRP, just enjoy it .......Porsche is good at marketing and some have learned not to bite unless it’s a numbered car.

fake news brother,,
its all cosmetic and 95% of the buyers won’t care for it
Thanks for the input...as I am not planning to track the car seriously, not sold on WP as a must have for myself. Love the more aggressive look of the car and the widebody. Not buying it to try and make a buck and plan to keep for the foreseeable future...just want to enjoy the car. Dont mind the 18ways ( v buckets) and want silver/black/chalk (no lizard green thanks).
There's a guy in California with a black .2RS with WP and 18 ways. Actually, he's moving to Tahoe, and needs to thin his car collection, thus the selling of his RS. Only reason I didn't snap it up was non PDLS, but if you don't car about black headlight buckets then his would be a nice option. He recently dropped his price too.
No other 18 way WP available on the market right now (other than the absurdly priced black one in Vegas) that I've seen (and I've been looking). If you don't care either way about the seats, there are several options options out there with LWB, both non-WP and WP. There is a nice .2RS in white with all the options in NJ that has all the stuff I want, and it's possible the guy might come off his $219,000 asking price. It's on consignment with a dealer, and I think that car is reasonable between $200K-$210K given the fact it's a highly optioned WP that checks all the boxes. PM me your number and I can send you the walk around video the dealer sent me.
