Default Cost of OEM GT Body Components

While chatting with my body shop guy, he happened to mention what it costs -- just parts -- to replace the rear engine cover and wing on a 991.2 GT3.

Somewhere north of $30,000. The decklid alone is $15K. Those adorable black air scoops? $1450 a side.

A plain Carrera is about 10% of that.

I guess I'm naive, but yowser.

The front fenders (or if you want to call them quarter panels) are carbon fiber and very expensive

The whole fender including gas tank too? I am just trying to get clarification because the carbon fiber grills shown here didnt come carbon fiber, i had to buy the aftermarket ones for both the rear and front air fenders/grills w/e

The front wing/fender is made of carbon fiber and is painted. The part with the gas filler. The air vents are just plastic.

Using the PET parts catalog you can look up the part numbers. Even the front and rear bumpers are +$5k each.

The RS front fender is $11,289

As Fender - Porsche (991-503-031-9A)

Genuine Porsche As Fender - Part Number 991-503-031-9A

If you really want to blow your mind, look at a cost of a replacement engine ($72K)
