The 991 GT3/RS Cars For Sale Thread...

Can someone explain to me why people wait 6-8 weeks to list their cars on BAT or PCARMARKET? What is the difference between listing on those websites versus on eBay? Is it the potential of specific customers who only visit those specific websites?

Beautiful car! Did they give you a time frame from submission? I submitted a car over 2 weeks ago, had professional photos taken over 1 week ago, and no sign of any immediate action from them. No listing agent yet etc. I Know they are slammed, but it could be a month from submission to listing for me.

BAT has a waiting list for certain cars from what i have read from people listing on BAT.....BAT wont list 2 of the same exact cars, which makes sense they dont want one car competing with another

I'm trying to reverse-engineer the comments in this 166-page thread to determine what makes a "good" GT3, setting aside all subjective taste (colors, etc) stuff and maybe could use some validation that I'm not missing something obvious. I'm looking for a CPO, sub $200k PDK .2 car, it seems that I should be looking for FAL, extended tank, full leather, and buckets. Any other configurations to pursue/avoid so I don't find myself with an odd-duck car?

you do not need the extended range fuel tank, for daily driving the normal fuel tank is large enough!

It's all about the presentation and audience. With both of the aforementioned auction sites, there is a ton of pictures, video, and background on the cars. Personally, I don't trust eBay cars as I've just heard too many horror stories. Another thing with BAT/PCAR is that other keen enthusiasts are also viewing the auctions who can point out issues or ask the right questions, while receiving prompt responses from the sellers for everyone to see.
So it sounds like the Rennlist classifieds without the additional price tag. Most comments I have seen on these listing are not constructive.
Does BAT or PCRAMARKET actually inspect these cars and confirm that they are actually in the condition the buyer claims them to me in? I have heard that they do a photo shoot but is an actual inspection (at least a cosmetic one) done?

It is the buyers premium. The buyer is required to pay 5% of the hammer price to the auction house (BAT). It is capped at $5k so that is the buyers premium for this car.

I guess I’m with KOTB. I don’t see the appeal of these two sites. And I just went through a few recent auctions and don’t see the sale prices as being remarkable, in general.
