+1 But isn't that always the way?

4.2L for RS should open up new real estate for engineers to explore.

Seats and red interior. He got the gauges and pedals right. Missing Mg wheels, but that's an easy $20k fix.

Plenty more deals out there as I was offered a higher spec one for just a little over a few weeks back with delivery miles.

That red interior is a tough sell. Even harder sell than the seats (which I actually prefer!).

yes, but that’s why the 991 GT2RS - while amazing - is not a collectible.. it’s not numbered, limited manual etc. In 3-5 years there will be a 992 one that’s better. A new lap record king. That s why price’s will soften over time.. $280 is a good price IMO. I’d have to have buckets on this kinda car?

Agreed which is put me off, i believe we will be seeing similar cars for sub 250's in the coming months as i have a few friends in the trade and have said the same.

Some folks i know keep saying "Get a 675lt if your tracking" save a ton of money and have something that's reliable on track and a different experience. For 100k less on retail prices, the 675 certainly looks appealing. Also I would be curious to see how the 992 Turbo S compares to a 2RS. Im not looking for to profit from others losses but only looking to minimize my loss as i generally keep cars for less than a year.

Totally agree but the dealers, some brokers, who were thirsty for money spread so much misinformation. As ive stated time and time again i believe it is well worth the msrp price, not more, not less but well worth it. It doesnt have all the features as the tts but that is the beauty, less things to fail, no gimmicks, just purpose built. If you're expecting to not lose money on these cars you're dreaming, there is a price to pay for this enjoyment and i think it is pretty cheap.

Amount of detail and engineering that go into the 2RS is astounding. Suspension and engine details make a complete package. Is it worth the 100K delta over a 3RS? Don’t know but I like mine. The next step up would be a cup car, don’t drive track near enough for that. Here is a video from a yr ago going over the special parts and tech on 2RS from race garage.

Correct. But look at the 997 GT2RS. That is numbered, collectible, manual etc. But slower. Only 500 of them. . So it will be "worth" more because people will "collect" them.

991 has many times that produced. But buy it and drive it. And in a few years time sell it for the better, newer one.

if future value is being considered, 675lt is where the investment could go longer term as they will return to higher pricing in a few years for sure. Limited to 500 of each model and allot more desirable for some.

992 Turbo S vs 2RS is what I would also like to see, someone needs to get this done so we can all oogle at them both LOL

I think we know the answer to the 992 tts vs 991 gt2rs comparison, the tts is 200lbs or more heavier, awd, has the creature comforts and way less downforce. That said, it fits two adults and two little people and has all the comfort to drive anywhere but aint a track car.

PS long term, numbered production always wins...

Just started my search for a 18-19 gt2 rs and can't find anything less than $300k with mag,wp, and lwbs. Did Covid cause a price increase? Funny thing is I just got out of a 720s and found several 2020 720s converts for $300k...

Market def is on the upswing. There were many cars below 300k with those specs....but not now.

Private seller asking $299K. It hasn't been listed terribly long (maybe a month or two), and he just dropped the price recently. Might be willing to deal with a serious buyer.

Inventory will keep getting sucked up if it's anything like what's happening in real estate.
