Comfort buckets vs standard seats
Is there a real difference in comfort in .2 GT3 reclinable buckets vs standard seats vs 18 ways ?
Not just for the feeling of it but will my back hurt less driving the GT3 on bad roads with standard seats (I have recline buckets) ?

Most of us in the States won't have an answer for you because the folding buckets were not offered for deliveries in the USA. The unibody buckets look sweet and feel great but it sure would be nice to be able to access the "back seat" area. For instance, getting golf clubs back there is not easy with the unibody buckets.

Ordered my car with 18-ways and loved them. Just enough support with the bolsters for the street and yet compliant. With exception of the occasional DE day at the track they're great, but not nearly enough support if your a track rat. I swapped mine for the LWB's given my time on the track and put my 18 ways up for sale. (available)

I can only comment on the non-reclining buckets. They are comfortable enough on long drives, as I've driven in them up to 6 hours with no issues driving. The issue after a long drive is getting out of the darn things when you are already tired.

this is a hard question, try to drive a standard 911 and decide. I did 18 ways. love them, i am 6'4, but not wide 36 waste. some wider peeps have said they are too narrow. This is from friends that have drove my car. i love the buckets, but not for long distance. People tend to buy buckets in the states.

In the US we get the fixed LWBS and I find it extremely comfortable, I did install the small brackets to change the pitch. It would be way more convenient to have the euro style with the recliner but I do like the look of the US version better.

For me the most comfortable seat is the full bucket seat (918 seat). The height adjustment is definitely a big plus for me.
The sport bucket seat (gt2 seat) has a more shallow seating surface. You sit a bit more on top of the seat rather than in it. It is also comfortable, but probably a better fit for smaller drivers. The folding back is a nice feature. They do not recline. For me, this seat is mounted a bit high. Changing the bracket can help.
The standard 2-way and 18-way sport seats are comfortable and supportive. Many prefer the 2-way as it's lighter and more comfortable for some. 18-ways are nice for a luxury car like a Turbo.
Try to get some time in each variant if you can. That's really the only way to know what works for you.
