Maybe I'm in left field, but that's an awful spec. Pretty rare that I see an RS I wouldn't want to drive, and that's one of them.

Quite a lively discussion over there:

"Does seller here own the car or representing it on behalf of the 2nd owner who registered in MT after the first flipped it to the dealer in Chicago ?I’m genuinely interested in the economics of these cars which get almost no use and trade multiple times and are either losing money for every private owner or taking up space and flipping from dealer to dealer with little profit added. It would be a lovely game to be able to play in, but seems like a risky one as well. At least in the case of these they seem rare enough to not have been hit as much as the various GT3 variants. It seems like the only sure winners in the equation are the original buyer if they paid sticker and the fourth or fifth owner who catches the downswing and gets the nearly new car a few years down the road for a discount from new."
No Mags wheel and why is the hood all carbon fiber like the GT3RS?

What's interesting is that a non-oem dealer bought it.

Non WP is why the hood is exposed carbon. Mags are easily obtained now and not os significant to value. WP would be.

Mag are still an easy $15k over non-mag cars... That color and no WP, no ty.

Color is great, but no WP and Mags is a no go for most GT2RS collectors. Bid is already at the peak value IMO.

Curious, on a GT2RS, what is the difference between WP and non-WP car? Thanks

It was a package that cost $18k that included more carbon fiber parts and made the car weight a little less. The Mag wheels were an additional $13k that dropped the weight another 30 lbs. So this car is misisng about $30k in options that a lot of the other cars had. For the exact break down, google will help you.

Good suggestion. Didn't realize it also included the stabilizer bars and coupling rods. I suppose if I were jumping into a GT2RS it would be worth it to have the WP and wheels too, especially purchasing pre-owned. I was living in Houston when the 997GT2RS launched and would see some driving around town. Really like that platform too. IMHO, they are special cars in any form.

Like the MB WP car you have. I was looking at the .2 versions but ended up deciding on a .1. The exposed carbon wasn't appealing initially but knowing more about how and why the WP is added it really fits the car well.

I have thought about trading up to a 2RS from a 3RS but I think the price differential is still way too much for me. Guessing 125k or so for a car with WP and mags.

Canadian location is huge. How much of a pain is that? Yikes.

Rennlist is swimming in dreamers. If these guys worked more and dreamt less, maybe they’d already be owning and driving these cars. #wrongsandbox

Does anyone care to opine on the 2018/19 GT3 pricing or discounts during this time?
