Default closing the VALUE OF GT CARS Thread

was such a great thread. lots of good information, and nice to read opinions from a smaller 991 GT3 GT3RS and 911R crowd.

way to kill it LTCMontana. pretty pretty uncool

Dear Zmon - since that thread turned into corona virus 3.0 as opposed to what it was supposed to be, try starting another. If that one also goes off the rails a mod will probably close it too If the rest of the folk can resist turning ever damn thread into a corona prediction nightmare .. well you know.

My two cents: The thread got off topic, but remained interesting and the discussion was respectful. This happens a lot on the GT forums and as far as I can tell the vast majority enjoy it.

I would have supported action if it:
1. got rude
or
2. started out entirely off-topic instead of meandering there

And the action I would have supported would have been moving it to an off-topic forum, not deleting interesting posts. So yeah, in this particular case I don't think that action was necessary nor do I support the action taken.

That's not manageable.

on the plus side it was the one value thread that ended up having little to do with value...

Ergo don’t discuss an issue of major social and world importance when a value discussion should be pursued.

Here’s an idea...Maybe just change the title of the thread and leave it alone like “The effects and fallout of Corona on GT cars”

Lesson: Nothing more important to Rennlist than a meaningless value discussion.

Put a small mind in a position of power this is what you get....

Hey moderator... did you ever see a thread around here called McLaren Success ? Keep a sharp eye out... it’s easy to miss. Has Nothing to do with P cars. How about jettison that to oblivion too.

Ironically... being honest about the subject and starting a thread called "coronavirus & gt car values " got that thread **** down weeks ago, right when people needed to talk about what was coming...
