.2 GT3 manual gearbox issue, anyone else?

So here's a video I shot tonight. It acted up a number of times, but here are some good examples that were pretty close together. Around 20 seconds in I downshift into 4th (you can see how much movement of the lever on/off throttle) and when I go back to 5th it's very hard to engage. At 3 minutes I downshift into 2nd, and when I go to shift to 3rd the lever won't budge until I really start pushing hard on it. You can see how much force it took when it finally comes out of gear. Quite a few difficult shifts on this drive, and these were just a couple. It's strange because it will act up and then shift perfectly for awhile. It didn't completely fail to find a gear like it had multiple times on my long drive yesterday.
Also, the dealer who had the car for 2 weeks had multiple people in the service department drive it and they put 140 miles on it. The miles aren't a big deal, but I do have some concerns about how it was driven and if anyone over-rev'd it. I have no plans to sell the car, but the first thing buyers want to see when you're selling is a DME report. A bunch of over-revs seems to be like a Carfax accident to buyers, and I'd rather find out about something like that now rather than later. Thoughts?

My guess is air in the clutch slave cylinder. A couple bubbles would do it. I have seen a couple instances of the master cylinder leaking on the .2s. Very subtle leak. Check the fluid level. if it’s not at the top mark might want to investigate there. Good luck and sorry for your troubles.

That was my initial thought, and It's beyond me that the first thing the dealer didn't do was bleed the clutch. I wouldn't think that a linkage issue would be as intermittent as this, and obviously it wasn't since it isn't fixed. I would love it if it was something as simple as a bubble!

Just wanted to update this. I sent the car to the other Porsche dealer, and forwarded my video clip. They checked the car and started by bleeding the clutch. The tech found a lot of air in the system, and once correctly bled it road tested fine. I picked it up the next day and it was perfect on the drive home. I took my second drive Sunday, around 100 miles and a lot of shifting, and it was great. Happy ending!

Looks like they caught yours in time, I had the same problems with my 4000km touring, the dealer refused to bleed the clutch and followed Porsche diagnostic procedures, sadly this led to the inevitable gear grind in 4th and the gearbox was toast! A new gearbox with no haggling from Porsche but I had to go back and forth many times, make video’s, drive with technicians making videos, all the time loosing faith in the quality and robustness of the gt product. New gearbox is perfect!

After reading this thread my dealer agreed
to bleed the clutch but the problem still persists. Has now happened 7 or 8 times at least. Car has to be warm, usually 30mins+, most often coming off freeway after being in 6th for a while, changing down to 5th and almost always going downhill and mild breaking.. Gears feel notchy before it happens and often accompanied by wrattlling sound (like pronounced flywheel wrattle). Had a really loud noise (flywheel x10) on one occasion. Then it magically goes away and behaves fine for an hour. No issue on back roads where i sit in gears upto 4th.
same challenge as others getting a porsche tech in the car when its happens (with 200miles of attempts) but eventually did experience stiff and very awkard shifts when they were in the car that they were able to experience themselves. Also captured it on video on another occasion.
Wanted to see if the problem reoccured for anyone or any others having luck getting this resolved. Clutch bleed didnt help me…

Would be interesting to see if other are having the issue. I am.
.2 gt3 manual with about 10k miles. Car owned since new and clutch/transmission never given any abuse.
Typically happens in the following scenario:
- changing down from 6th to 5th, cant grab any gear at all for about 7 or 8 attempts and then it clears up. (Or clears up after pulling over, turning off car and back on)
- often triggered when coming down freeway offramps. Downhill tends to be a factor too (where i am slowing with traffic and applying gentle breaking). Ie. 70 down to 50mph and shifting to 5th
- gear shifts often feel very notchy before and after it happens and then return to being silky smooth for another hour before it does it again
- doesnt seem to happen on backroads where i stick in gears 1st through 4th
- gears also sound rough around the time it happens, almost like clutch not fully disengaged/engaged.. sounds like exaggerated flywheel rattle in other gt cars when it happens. on one occasion i heard a loud metal on metal scraping noise for 5 seconds or so and then back to normal.
my dealer bled clutch as precaution but it still happens. Left car with them - they couldnt replicate with 3 or 4 drives. I then drove 100miles with the tech and got it to repro the very difficilt changes and he agreed it didnt feel right for the 20 seconds or so it happened. Also captured one shift where it locked me out completely. When its happened its pretty dangerous and often hard to pull over on freeway with no power.
So far on the forums ive seen 1) bleeding clutch 2) clutch plate fingers breaking and 3) a new transmission as a solution. Anyone have more recent updates or also have the same issue?
