For my 992 Touring I wanted to go for a special Ferrari colour that I really like, Bianco Fuji (the front runner) with the white gold mag wheels from the 2RS.
What is the process to get a new colour approved and how long does it take?
If the color is not on the list already and Porsche hasn't done it before in the past, it can take years to get it thru the feasibility process. Best to start talking to Porsche exclusive now.

For something normal (e.g. not a special process) you pay up front the amount it costs for PTS, porsche tests it for “feasibility,” if it fails, you get your money back, if it passes, you get to pay for the car including the price of PTS. So a new color is 2x the cost something already approved. I don’t know anyone who has done it yet until the new regime, but the 992 configurator it already shows the 2X price option (or at least it did when I checked). Whatever they tell you don’t listen and send a sprayed out sample in, and the paint code, and whatever else you have.
Also, last I checked, pearl white was approved with a “contact” us which I think means it is a surcharge. That’s sort of in your ballpark.
Or maybe just buy a Ferrari and save even more money.
Ferrari color palette are light years above Porsche, the fine metallics with their luster!
Another favorite is Rosso Fuoco, the gold highlights just pop
There is Oryx White, which is a pearl paint (similar to Bianco Avus) and then there is "Pearlescent White" that first appeared on the 959 with a bit more yellow hue (similar to Bianco Fuji). Both have been approved on previous Porsche models.

I agree go oryx. But I think avus is stark white, no metalli, like refrigerator white. I think my aperta is avus, and tdf is italia which is the blue-er version of fuji, which is warm.
