Exclusive said it would have looked much like the standard leather/faux aluminum item where the faux aluminum is replaced by wood. Not very inspiring especially when I was looking for a 917 style/solid wood item.

Anyway I decided to have my own version made. Designed to sit at the same height, it's perfect.
It's a play on the balsa wood 917 item but stained to match the cabin. Additionally the neck is milled aluminum, none of this faux stuff. It’s got a heft to it that the standard item lacks.

Dead easy to install and the wood feels great to the touch in any season.
Doesn't fit the RS

Looks awesome! I have a stupid question though, when it gets hot, it is difficult to shift? Also, what is the wear and tear like over time?

Thanks! Looks great!

No issues with heat thus far- I haven't had it on that long and have only used on a few back road drives. It's fairly light and a bit taller than stock which provides a little mechanical advantage when rowing through the gears- feels a bit snickier from my perspective. A very nice and refined feel. I'm very happy with it.

No, the advantage to wood is that it does not get too hot nor cold - Goldilocks! Wear and tear? None that I can see and I've updated other cars with the same. Yes maybe a small patina, like any wood product but that would only enhance the aesthetics, I believe.

Send it to Manuel, he's a craftsman and offers great value too.

Received mine the other day.

Going to possibly replace the Aluminum because it can get too Cold and Hot.

Also ordered from DB Carbon the CF Door handles. The Aluminum ones' are an eye soar if you have the CF package.

This is the first adapter/shaft, I was hesitant with initial fitment but Manuel knew what he was doing when he made it and I got the fitment correct!

Manuel is the best. I received my "harlequin" style today. It´s not only pretty (the picture hardly does honour to it), it´s also exceptionally well made. It has this handmade feel to it, very rare these days.

Really nice! Great choice. How easy did the trim around the gear shifter pull off? Any tips?

There are numerous how-tos, but I´ll give it a try in my words. It´s really easy, the console trim can stay in place-
1. pull at the front of the boot until it lifts slightly, use your fingers or a plastic dash trim tool to release the clips
2. pull back of boot forward
3. turn boot inside out over the ****. There is a ring at the bottom of the ****, turn this and the entire boot counter-clockwise. You´ll hear a click when it´s released
4. pull **** off the lever.
5. with the ring in its release position, push the **** with its four clips out of the ring.
6. pry white plastic ring out of the socket where the **** sat. This will release the top of the boot.
7. put boot over Manuel´s stem. It will sit comfortably in the groove that he makes
8. tighten screw, snap boot back into place.

This was actually a pain in the *** for awhile and then laughable easy...

Just turn the shiftknob to the left and it will disengage the clip, pull up to remove the OEM **** and then reinstall new **** using instructions above...

If anyone is interested in my wooden shift **** above please PM me.

I have never installed and still in the box and going to stay with my Function First ****

I believe I paid over $200 so would be willing to let it go at $150
