+1 for two sets.
I have one set for my RS with 4S for the street and rainy track events and one with the Cup R for dry track events. Even Manthey recommends the 4S for street driving since you rarely get the Cup 2 in the proper working temperature range.

4S for street driving for sure. Unless you like replacing Cup 2s at twice the rate. 4S on track will be 1-2 seconds per minute slower. Probably fine for most of us non-pro drivers.

MPS4S is generally better on the street. There is almost no street driving scenario where MPSC2 would be better - they simply do not get up to the temperature to show advantage. So if not tracking or tracking less than 5 days a year, I would not even bother with MPSC2.

Same here! Love On-Site Tire. Prices as good or better than TireRack. Great service.

Has anyone who has switched from Cup 2’s to 4s’s have any comment on tire noise? Most of my driving is high speed touring and I’d be willing to sacrifice a bit of grip for less tire roar, which gets annoying after 2-3 hours straight.

Tyre noise is way better than cup 2's. Way better manners too and far less stressful... tramlining etc etc..

Just placed the order for the 4S. I have another set of wheels and tires for the track with Toyo R888R's. I figure the 4S could be my rain tire for the track. The Cup2's not great rain tires.

Spot on, especially here in the PNW.

Only thing I do t like is that the 325 4S looks way to narrow for the OEM wheels.
Looks like crap.

Michelin PS4S, tires are GREAT for daily driving.
Noise, minimal compared w Pilot 2.
Tire grip in wet and dry, great.
Is not a performer tire in the track compared tp the Pilot 2.
You will like them a lot!

What are peoples opinions about filling tires with nitrogen? Costco includes this with mounting. Ive heard different opinions about it, but am interested in trying it on the GT3.
Go to Reitmeiers werkstadt in Los Altos - they are a long time independent, tire rack installer, and *know* how to deal with center locks - ask for Jeff himself, tell him I referred you!

Follow up to my post. Costco did a great job installing the 4S tires. They did a great job, no scratches. Took them 2 hours and they weren't happy but they got it done. I checked around town and my Porsche dealership and local shop did not have the Hunter "touchless" tire mounter. Doesn't seem like many people have this but they still can do it without damage to the tire if they're careful.

Went for a nice ride in the rain last weekend in my GT3. The 4S tires are great! Low noise, good grip in the wet and dry. I would buy these again. Happy with my choice of the 4S over the C2 tires.

4S is a great tire = excellent all round performer. Even won a major Targa event on these = testament to all round, all weather capabilities (they were more or less destroyed after 5 days).
