991.1 GT3 Race Build @ TPC Racing

You said the owner intends to drive this on the road, but I don't believe that can legally be done with front cage elements. Isn't there some DOT statement that says such things aren't permissible because they don't want occupants hitting their heads against the steel tubing in an impact? Remember, this is the same DOT that made Porsche put those silly padded inserts in the carbon buckets because they didn't want someone bumping their skull into it.

I did say that. But that was meant more as a joke to roll up to tech with AC blowing and tunes playing. Let's face it, any race event is going require tools, nitrogen tank, extra set of wheels/tires in a trailer.

We had a very successful first outing with car #8 at Sebring. Car ran great. The handing and braking was PHENOMENAL! Just returned to TPC for post-track inspection and fluid changes. Video to come.

When Tom and Mike put their name behind a suspension setup I believe it.
First TPC/DSC transformed my 997.2 3.8 street car's compliance beyond that of a 4.0.
Then their full shocks+race DSC turned my 997 Cup into something else vs. her prior passive JRZ setup (which wasn't exactly crap to begin with).
Question for Tom: would you consider putting this car on solid engine and transmission mounts? Or will the street PDK be of concern? (Disclosure: I have a masochistic fetish for NVH in my road Porsches. Also it helps my marriage to chauffeur the missus around town in coffee cans with a handful of bolts sloshing inside)

Video of the first shakedown. Completely stock engine/exhaust. On 245/35-20 and 305/30-20 Cup 2's. Fun to watch the mingling with Cup cars at the end. Driver: Mike Skeen.
