The new Ruf’s and Singers seem to manage pretty well

That's a great surface to autocross on. In San Diego, autocross events are at the old Chargers stadium parking lot with huge potholes and chunks of asphalt lying around. I've picked up drill bits, screws, and other sharp metal objects when walking the course.

True.

But does anyone know what a comparable 'Ring time for Singer (say, using a 964 body) would compare with a 991 911? Much less a 991 GT3/RS?

All Singers have used 964 basis for years (a few at beginning used G body). The Williams developed model Singer should post a fast Ring time. Likewise the new Rufs (NA version with GT3 motor and Yellowbird turbo Metzger version both with carbon tub and pushrod suspension) fit on the footprint of a 964. Those are fast too. But I haven’t seen an official time for any of them. Whatever it is, they’re fast enough to be tons of fun on a track and hit autobahn at over 200mph (224mph for Yellowbird - way faster than GT2 RS)
